All Projects
The many projects I have worked on over the years.
2025: Portfolio Website
A portfolio showcasing my work
Description
I have had the concept for this portfolio in my mind since 2024. The Figma designs were created then but I did not want to start until I knew more about Next.js. There are so many things that can be done and I did't want to start working on something then learn I could have done it more effeciently.
This is my first time using/learning TypeScript and I am really enjoying what it can do.
This is the site you are looking at right now.

2025: Shadow Casters
A WordPress site I am enhancing for an author friend
Description
This used to be a basic WordPress site with a white background and basic blue accents color scheme. The biggest concern of the author was how simple it looked. The color scheme and some awkward spacing were the first things we focused on. I designed several color schemes based on the books in the series and the author picked a dark color scheme based on his second book. This has been implemented all over his site with no downtime.
One of the sites he really liked is the official Harry Potter website. He wanted something dark and really was drawn to black backgrounds. I sadly no longer have the other site schemes I created on Figma. I didn think of saving them.
Several other things that were fixed were the "Mailing List" opening in a new tab, social icons added to the footer, the category options in the menu not opening their own page, and eventually the glossary table being lined up (hopefully).

2023: Dance Flower Order App
My capstone project
Description
I wanted to make something that I could see a use for and this is what I settled on. I worked as a florist part-time and talking people through the process of ordering dance flowers is an arduous experience and having a site that walks people through all the steps with pictures would make it so much easier. I ran out of time to finish it as it was much more ambitious than I realized. I spent around 160 hours on the site. The front end is complete and the backend is halfway done. The design was based off of the site of the florist I worked at.
The database connection is currently down because of disuse. I will be working on getting that back up - April 23 2025.

2023: BOTW Collection
A simple site to make a checklist for a video game
Description
This is an individual project I created from scratch for the class Web Frontend Development II. It gets information from a free online API. The site allows you to add BOTW items to a list in different quantities to gather as you go through the game. The list is fully editable.
I hope to eventually transfer it from a BOTW site to a TOTK site when the TOTK images are uploaded to the API.

2023: SleepOutside
A collaborative school project
Description
This is a team project that I optimized with JavaScript for Web Frontend Development II. I completed set tasks with and without a partner as we increased the responsiveness of the site. This site does not have any personal touches on it and it was a fun challenge to have multiple people working on a site because you never knew when something done prior was going to break a new task.
The database is owned by the school and sometimes unavailable. It can take a while to show up.

2023: .Net and C# work
Done as part of a .Net course
Description
This class was a lot of fun and we went through a lot of different projects. The projects were usually done within a week or two because the class was trying to cover as much as possilbe as fast as possible. I don't have any of these projects live but I do have video overviews of different projects and a GitHub repository with all the projects.
My favorite thing about learning .Net was how fast the projects came together!

2023: PHP Motors
A class assignment
Description
This project has a very unique visual design that was copied as closely as possible from the class examples. It is retro and most of the focus of the class was on getting the functionality working well. It runs with a XAMPP local MySQL database and as such does not have a static site. I included an overiew of the site that I created for the final project to show the functionality of the site.

2023: Creating a Social Media Brand
A COMM315 class project
Description
For my COMM 315 I created and upkept a brand new social media brand for a semester. It is on Instagram with the handle @guessthetemptation. I used a lot of photoshop for this class to get the images square, remove glare where I could, and extend the counter when it ran out. I used Canva to create my logo for this class.

2023: Creating an Online Business
A class assignment
Description
This website was creating using Google Sites. I had never used Google Sites before and I was nice to see how easy everything came together. The goal of this class was not focused on website creation but on learning how to make a business and all the minutia that go into that. I did learn that minutia but the bonus was learning about different types of content and how to manipulate that content on a website builder. The site is no longer up and running but I still have the base on Google sites.

2022: Non-Profit Org
A class project
Description
For a COMM 310 class creating online Media the goal was to create a non-profit website using WordPress. We learned how to manipulate WordPress to create the effect we wanted and also how to create good wireframes using an Adobe program. I had a lot of fun creating this site.
I have sadly lost access to the site. I did not realize I would lose this information when I stopped my subscription to the site it was hosted on.

2021: Chamber of Commerce
A class project
Description
I created this website for my Web Frontend Development course. It is a Chamber of Commerce website for my hometown. I aquired permission from the city when I created it and took most of the picture myself. My code is not as advanced as it is now and some of the visual choices are a little akward when I look back on them.
I did contact the city of Highland before creating this site.

2021: Zen Garden
A school assigment
Description
I worked on this site with a partner in an Advanced CSS class. It was a pirate themed Zen Garden challenge. I did a lot of the coding myself while my parter was responsible for the visual pieces. This was supposed to be a project with four people but we ended up losing the rest of our group.
